Today I am going to be talking about why stereotyping dogs is wrong.

Sometimes  people stereotype dogs because they have a phobia of dogs or had a bad experience with dogs or because some dogs have bad backgrounds like fighting. People stereotype dogs such as pitbull, rottweiler, doberman and chiwawa those are some dogs that get stereotyped as dangerous dogs. People say certain dog breeds are dangerous but any dog can be dangerous it all comes down to the owner and if it had proper training.

Dangerous Dog Habits:

  • Growl at anyone and other dogs

  • Bite

  • Jump on people

  • Run away from their home

  • Chase people

  • Scratch

  • Always aggressive

A lot of criminals have dangerous dogs so if they get out of there home they could bite someone that happens alot in Chicago, America because people don't train their dogs properly. Criminals want their dogs to be dangerous because they can protect their house, or in case someone robs their house or to chase someone down.

basic Training

-Sit

-Stay

-Come

-Down

-Leave it

The owner needs to have real control of their dog and need to train it to not run away or attack other people or dogs. If it is a really difficult dog to train you need to train it every day if it is not so difficult you should train once a week.

why people stereotype dogs? its not fair to stereotype dogs because their all different. If a dog is dangerous it’s not their fault it is the owners for not training it. Training a dog is really important to have a successful dog. Stereotyping dogs is like stereotyping humans. It’s not fair and shouldn’t be done.

Thank you for listening to my speech.
